John Edward Kane

July 15, 1946 - July 31, 2007

John E. Kane, age 61, of Beaver Dam, formerly of Milwaukee, died Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at St. Mary”s Hospital in Madison.

Visitation for John will be held at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Monday, August 6, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, beginning at 7:00 PM. Celebrant John R. Leiting will officiate.

John Edward Kane was born on July 15, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. John worked as a general manager for Adelman Maintenance Company in Milwaukee until he started Kane Karpet Kare. In 1990, he sold the carpet cleaning business and a year later he became the owner of the New Lamp Inn Tavern in Milwaukee. After selling the tavern in 2003, he moved and eventually settled in Beaver Dam and was currently working at Steel Craft in Hartford.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Kane of Beaver Dam, his daughter, Tabitha (Darren) Dustin of Juneau, four grandchildren, Coty Michael Kane, Ashley Ann Kane, Frederic John Dustin, and Alexander John Dustin, other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Kane and his foster father, Michael Tchida.
