John J. Krizan, age 90, of Hustisford, died with his family by his side, on Monday, May 4, 2009 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Visitation for John will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Horicon on Thursday, May 7, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at church on Friday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held at St. Michael”s Lutheran Church, on the corner of Perch Road and CTH “R” two miles north of Hustisford, on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Sheila Rawn will officiate. Burial will be at the Hustisford Cemetery.
John Joseph Krizan was born on August 18, 1918 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Joseph J. and Catherine (Micuda) Krizan. On August 21, 1943, he was united in marriage with Caroline Schuett at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lebanon. John worked at John Deere Horicon Works for 34 years and also ran the Krizan Bait shop out of his home in Hustisford. He absolutely loved to fish, he was a loyal Brewers fan and he enjoyed gardening; most of all, he loved spending time with his great grandchildren. John was a member of St. Michael”s Lutheran Church in Hustisford where he was a past president and a past trustee of the congregation. He was also a member of the John Deere Spitfire club.
Survivors include his children, Jane (Ronald) Parent of Ashland, Donald (Linda) Krizan of Horicon, and Diane (Michael) Thimm of Hustisford, his daughter-in-law, Bonnie Krizan of Oshkosh, ten grandchildren, Kevin (Becky) Krizan of Marshfield, Kris Krizan of Hartford, Kurt (Angie) Krizan of Neenah, Robert (Shannon) Parent of Ashland, David Zirbel of Mayville, Shawn Krizan of Horicon, Danielle Krizan of Horicon, Brian (Jackie) Thimm of Hustisford, Nicole Thimm of Hustisford, and Jeff Thimm of Hustisford, seven great grandchildren, Kyle Krizan of Marshfield, Andrew Parent and Cody Parent of Ashland, Brody Thimm and Gavin Thimm of Hustisford, Jason Krizan of Nennah, and a baby Thimm girl due to be born in July, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons, Ronald and David Krizan, and four brothers and sisters, Ann Osantowski, Mary Kippert, Joseph Krizan, and Stephen Krizan.
The family suggests that memorials be made in John J. Krizan”s name to the Hillside Manor Activity Fund, 803 S. University Avenue, Beaver Dam,WI 53916.
