Wonderful human being and gentleman. He taught me many things about living, and I admired him greatly. One of my many memories was during the "ice dam" flood when he was helping break the ice at the lower dam. He stepped onto the ice and went completely under the water. In seconds he bobbed back up, perfectly OK. I often wonder if his hat was ever found? [Something we joked about}
God bless him and grant his family peace.
Back in the 60s Johnny P would help us with our cars. He would cut up coke cans and patch our exhaust systems and give us drain oil to keep our cars running. He would even give his car to some people when he was changing their oil. We will never forget you Johnny P!
So sorry for your loss. I know David will miss him.
Barb and family, I am so sorry for your loss.

I have such fond memories of "the guy from the gas station". My thoughts are with the family and I'm sure this nice man is in heaven today.
Our sincere condolence to Barb and Family in this difficult time. What a joy it has been having John and Barb as neighbors in Wautoma. John will be missed, but never forgotten. Mike & Geri Hoch.
So very, very sorry to hear of John's passing. We have wonderful memories of all the years from high school, fire dept, etc, but a most special memory is of John's compassion and help at the time of Bill's brother's tragic accident in 1959.
Our heartfelt sympathy to Barb and all the family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was on the EMS with John and Barb for many years. We may not have seen eye to eye on some things but I did learn a lot from them and enjoyed working with them. I say them because it was like they were one entity. My deepest sympathy.
Our sincere condolences go out to Barb and her family. Our hearts are saddened by the news but know he is in a much better place. We are hoping that God will wrap his arms around you and comfort you in this time of your sorrow.
