John R. Kennedy, age 79, of Beaver Dam, died on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Family and friends may gather on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at Annunciation Catholic Church, 305 Green Street, Fox Lake, from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Thursday at the Church at 11:30 AM with Fr. Michael L. Wild officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary”s Cemetery, Town of Calamus, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

John Russell Kennedy was born on October 21, 1928 in Ferndale, Michigan, to Charles and Adeline (Press) Kennedy. He was united in marriage with Jean Kleindl on October 17, 1953 at St. Peter”s Church in Beaver Dam. John served in the United States Air National Guard from 1951 until 1954. He was a dairy farmer for many years. John was a Trustee at St. Mary”s Catholic Church, Lost Lake, and he served communion at the Continental Manor in Randolph.

John is survived by his wife, Jean Kennedy, his children, Steven (Mary) Kennedy, Delavan, Julie (Mark) Spicer, Horseheads, NY, Ron (Arlene) Kennedy, Fall River, and Tom (Carol) Kennedy, Beaver Dam, his grandchildren, Matthew (Jocelyn) and Michael Kennedy, Jacqueline, Michelle and Kelly Spicer, Crystal Kennedy, Maria and Joel Kennedy, his siblings Adeline Neuman, Elizabeth Powers, William (Betty) Kennedy, Dorothy Kennedy, Edward (Gayle) Kennedy, and Alicia (Ken) Nashold, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Brandon, and his two brothers, Charles and Donald Kennedy.
