Joseph was born on December 16, 1938 in Columbus, Wisconsin. He was a graduate of Columbus High School and a member of the Columbus High Football Team. Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army and was trained as a Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Battalion and was employed as a mechanic for West Bend Aluminum Company, for over 30 years.
Joe was a Jack of All Trades and Master of a few, he never found anything he wouldn’t take apart to see how it worked. He enjoyed woodworking and making furniture and clocks for his family and staying busy with mechanical repairs, home repairs, computer repairs and rebuilds. He always looked forward to helping his daughter with all of her projects and working together with her to invent new flavors of home-brewed kombucha. Joe also loved to talk incessantly about politics, even though he often exclaimed “it was the last time he would bring it up” but he did always wish he would live long enough to see Hillary Clinton in prison.
Joe will be deeply missed by his daughter JoAnn Masche-Daane (Dave Daane) of Markesan; his lifelong partner Maureen “Cookie” Strohbusch; his grandchildren: Andrew Masche, Rebecca Masche and Sarah Masche and great grandson Greyson Masche all of New Zealand; He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
