Joseph W. Jansma, 68, of Randolph passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Prairie Ridge Health in Columbus.
Joseph was born on May 11, 1957 to Herman and Angeline (Postuma) Jansma. He was a graduate of Randolph High School. Joe was married to Joyce Heimerl Heft on February 23, 2001 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. He was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam.
Joseph loved life. He was always out and about laughing and talking to everyone. He had several hobbies. Building model airplanes was his latest hobby. Joe used to bike ride all over and enjoyed the outdoors. He caught a fish or two here and there with the grandkids whom he loved equally and dearly. He enjoyed his daily visits with his grad puppy “Charlie.” Joe always kept in touch everyday with his children and grandchildren.
Joseph is survived by his wife Joyce of Randolph; children: Michael (Trisha) Heft of Randolph and Matthew Heft of Edgerton; grandchildren: Zachary, Briann, Madeline, Mason, Chloe, Cassidy, and Kaleb; great grandchildren; former daughter-in-law Angel; brothers: Thomas (Cindy) Jansma and Carl (Lorrie) Jansma of Markesan; sisters: Kathleen Jansma of Beaver Dam, Kristine (William) Redman of Beaver Dam, and Lisa (Jerome) Lund of Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brothers: Daniel and David Jansma; and sister-in-law Mary Jansma.
A visitation will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Fr. Nick Dhein officiating. Interment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
