Joyce C. Hughes, 93, of Beaver Dam and formerly of Colfax, WI passed away on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Crossroads Care Center in Mayville.
Joyce was born on June 24, 1930 to Ernst and Lilli (Tande) Sundstrom in Colfax. She was married to Leonard S. Hughes on December 6, 1952 in Rockford, IL. Joyce was employed with Chrysler Outboard Motors in Hartford for many years.
Joyce was a self-taught sewer and sewed beautiful clothing. She enjoyed quilting and completed many various quilting projects. Joyce loved traveling with her husband throughout many areas of the U.S. and also to Canada. She was an avid Neil Diamond fan and was able to travel to some of his shows. Joyce especially loved her entire family.
Joyce is survived by her daughters: Diana (Mark) Cypher of Slinger and Carolyn (Larry) Pagel of Iron Ridge; seven grandchildren: Scott (Angie) Radschlag, Sarah (Jeff) Gruszynski, Alison (Jason) Sheldon, Matthew (Jessica) Pagel, Rebecca Pagel, Michael Cypher, and Johnathan (Michelle) Cypher; 15 great grandchildren; six brothers and sisters; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leonard in 2007; daughters: Doreen and Nicki; grandsons: Troy and Lee; and six brothers and sisters.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 12 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford.
