Karen A. Butenhoff

Karen A. Butenhoff, 57, of Beaver Dam passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Hillside Manor Nursing Home in Beaver Dam surrounded by her loving family.

A memorial gathering for Karen will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam.  A memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jesse Gulllion officiating.

Karen was born on October 15, 1966 the daughter of Robert A. and Suzanne A.  (Grice) Butenhoff in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She was a 1985 graduate of Alexander Hamilton High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Karen was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church.  She was a very social person and enjoyed visiting with others.  She was known for being very giving to all she met.  Life presented Karen with many challenges and obstacles which she faced and overcame.  She loved her cats.  Mostly, she had great pride for her family.

Karen will be deeply missed by her parents: Bob and Sue Butenhoff of West Bend; sisters: Kristine (Michael) Schmidt of West Bend and Carol (Michael) Marchiando of Rhinelander; her two sons: Josh (Dezi) Hellman their son Riley of Madison and John Hellman.  She is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Wilmon and Ann Grice.
