Karen Ann Fischer

Karen Ann Fischer, 68, of Juneau, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Bedrock Health Care Center in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.

Karen was born on February 23, 1958, in Minnesota, the daughter of Theodore and Ina Mae (Eckert) Cleveland. She graduated from Waupun High School. On August 5, 1977, she was united in marriage to Dennis L. Fischer in Waupun, Wisconsin. Their love story began with love at first sight, a connection that grew into nearly 49 years of marriage built on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.

Karen began her career at the Weyenberg Shoe Factory. She later found her true calling in caring for others, becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked at Bethesda Nursing Home and later at Clearview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, where she dedicated many years of compassionate service before retiring.

Karen’s greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. To Olivia, Aiden, and Ellie, she wasn’t just Grandma—she was “Grammy,” the one who always seemed to have treats tucked away, even when Mom and Dad had already said no. She treasured every moment spent making memories with them and took great pride in watching them grow.

Karen was known for her caring heart, quiet strength, and unmistakable sass. She had a gift for making people laugh, often with a perfectly timed joke or witty remark. Above all else, she was fiercely devoted to her family and would do anything to make sure her children and grandchildren were cared for, supported, and loved. Her kindness, humor, and unconditional love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Dennis; her children, Jason L. Fischer of Lowell, Santasha (Tim) Hoeft of Oconomowoc, and Trevor L.T. Fischer of Juneau; her cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Aiden, and Ellie Hoeft; her sisters, Sue (Blaine) Harris, Judy (Mark) Resop, and Dee Dee Tibke; her brother, Joe Cleveland; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Ina Mae Cleveland, and her siblings, Karl and Lori.

A celebration of Karen’s life will be held on Saturday, August 15^th at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc from 1:00 pm until 4:00 p.m.

Though our hearts are heavy with her loss, we find comfort knowing that Karen’s love, laughter, and generous spirit will live on in the family she cherished so deeply.
