Kenneth F. Pieper, age 74, died on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at his home in Beaver Dam.
The visitation for Ken will be held at St. Stephens Ev. Lutheran Church, in Beaver Dam, on Saturday, November 22, 2008 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at the church on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paul C. Stratman officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens, Town of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
Kenneth Fay Pieper was born on April 11, 1934 in Burnett, to Arthur and Roma (Knop) Pieper. On September 17, 1955 he was united in marriage with Yvonne Grams in Horicon. Ken was the owner of Pieper”s Texaco Service in Horicon for several years. He then operated Pieper”s Air Service at Dodge County Airport. Ken also flew for Consultants Physicians in Pathology for Beaver Dam and in his later years, he was a semi driver for a couple different trucking companies, including Pieper”s Trucking. He was also the owner and operator of Pieper”s Shoes, in Beaver Dam. Ken had a passion for flying and loved to fish. He was an avid Packer and NASCAR fan. Ken was easy to love and will be missed by the many that knew him.
Survivors are his seven children, Kent (Jeanne) of Monroe, Kim (Lynn) Lee of Sun Prairie, Karleen Schade of Sun Prairie, Kathryn (Wade) Rahn of Beaver Dam, Kurt (Kim) of North Fond du Lac, Karl of Beaver Dam, and Kari (Travis) Tiedt of Kaukauna, 10 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Yvonne, a brother, Wayne and an infant sister.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Ken”s name to Prairie Ridge Assisted Living, 212 E. Industrial Dr., Beaver Dam, WI 53916, or to Heartland Hospice, 63 W. Pioneer Rd., Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
