Services: A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Koepsell-Zeidler Funeral Home in Columbus with military honors to conclude the time at the funeral home. A celebration of Kent’s life will follow at 2 p.m. at the Columbus Town Hall, N1120 Schaefer Rd., off of Hwy K.

Kenton Earl Price, 59, of Columbus passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013
Kent was born on August 21, 1954 in Madison, WI, the son of Cleighton and Priscilla (Danielson) Price. He was married to Bonnie Baerwolf on June 23, 1973. Later, he was married to his soul mate, Terri Hoffman on August 17, 1984.
Kent was educated in Rio, WI until his last year of high school where he graduated at Madison East High School. Kent enlisted and served in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany. After returning stateside, he worked a variety of jobs to the highest expectations. Kent dedicated his time to his family and his education. He received a degree at MATC with an Associates in Police Science in 1985 and followed that with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from UW-Madison in 1988. Afterwards, Kent received his Masters of Science in Guidance and Counselling from UW-Whitewater in 1997. Kent was employed as a correction officer for 25 years and continued to counsel following his retirement in Portage.
Kent was passionate about motorcycles both street and dirt. He loved to both ride and race as well as teach dirt bike riding. Kent first and foremost dedicated his life to being a great father and husband. His education and job choices proved without a doubt that he loved to help others.
Kent is survived by his wife, Terri; his three sons: Josh (Carina), Jake, and Jamie (Jackie); his daughter, Jeanne (Danielle); his four grandchildren: Rylee, Ayden, Kaylee and Gavin with one more on the way. Kent is also survived by his mother and step-father, Priscilla and Ken Orvold; his sisters: Judi Mick and Jane Rees; and further survived by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cleighton, step-mother, Sandra; and his grandparents: Henry and Hazel Danielson and Tom and Flossie Price.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Koepsell-Zeidler Funeral Home in Columbus with military honors to conclude the time at the funeral home. A celebration of Kent’s life will follow at 2 p.m. at the Columbus Town Hall, N1120 Schaefer Rd., off of Hwy K. Cremation will follow the service at Koepsell Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kent’s name will be used in establishing a fund reflecting his passion for dirt bike riding.
