Kristi Lou Currier, age 61, of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Unity Point Health Meriter Hospital in Madison.
Kristi was born on January 25, 1963, in Appleton, Wisconsin, to Kenneth and Bettyann (Budsberg) Carlson. She married Russell Currier on July 29, 1981, and together they raised four children in Beaver Dam. Kristi’s life was filled with love for her family and a deep connection to those around her.
A woman with a big heart and a spirited personality, Kristi was known for her generosity and willingness to help anyone in need. She had a passion for gardening and found joy in crafting and bird watching, particularly when spotting cardinals. She enjoyed watching ME TV and cherished her daily conversations with her mother. Kristi’s love for her children and grandchildren was boundless; she delighted in hosting dance parties and creating crafts with her grandkids, moments that will be treasured by all who shared them.
Kristi’s warmth extended beyond her family—she was affectionately regarded as “everybody’s mom,” always ready to lend a hand or offer support. Her vibrant personality and unconditional love left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Kristi’s life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at her son’s home, located at 110 James Street in Beaver Dam. The gathering will begin at 12:00 noon as family and friends come together to honor her memory.
Kristi is survived by her children, Jesica (Lino) Selbera, Jaclyn Currier (Dustin Hoffmaster), Bryan (Beth) Currier, and Jonathan (Krystal) Currier; grandchildren, Aria Peachey, Cole Benedict, Serenity and Ember Schuster, Jaxn Ross, Sydney and Lucas Currier, and Amara and Kalvin Currier; mother, Betty Carlson; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ken; her husband, Russell; brother, Kevin Carlson; and sister, Kara Carlson
Kristi will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. May the memories of her love and kindness bring comfort to those who knew her.
