LeRoy “Dick” Kohn, age 90, died on Sunday, July 6, 2008, at the Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam.

Visitation for Dick will be on Friday, July 11, 2008 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, in Reeseville, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow on Friday at the church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Donald Steinberg officiating. Burial will be held at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Lowell, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Leroy Wallace Kohn was born on April 27, 1918 in Reeseville, Wisconsin, to the late Oscar and Rosa (Weihert) Kohn. On September 8, 1935, he was united in marriage with Bernice Lau at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Lowell. Dick farmed in the Reeseville area for many years. Later, he worked at G.B. Lewis in Watertown and for the Dodgeland school district. Dick was a past member of the Reeseville Lions Club and past secretary of Reeseville Sportsmen”s Club. He was a past member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Reeseville, and a current member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, also in Reeseville.

Dick is survived by his daughter, Shirley Beecher, Oregon, WI, his sons, Rodney (Barbara) Kohn, Fort Atkinson, and Delvin (Darlene) Kohn, Kewaskum, 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, two sisters, Evelyn Fehling, Beaver Dam, and Ruby (Richard) Means, Broken Arrow, OK, sisters-in-law, Adeline Kohn, Waterloo, and Doris Strobel, Marshall, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bernice, a son-in-law, Robert Beecher, brothers, Leslie, Harvey, and Henry, and a brother-in-law, James Fehling.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Dick”s name to Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Remembrance Home, or the Alzheimer”s Association.
