Linda K. Janz, age 77, of Beaver Dam, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Randolph Nursing Home.
Inurnment will be at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Gideon Wamala officiating.
Linda was born on June 10, 1949, in Pennsylvania, the daughter of George and Phyllis (Frey) Scheidt. She was united in marriage to Ronald R. Janz on February 13, 1971, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Linda was a simple and humble woman who found joy in the everyday moments of life. A devoted homemaker, her family was the center of her world. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and treasured the time she spent with them. Linda was also a true animal lover and had a special place in her heart for animals. She enjoyed gardening and took great pride in growing and canning the produce from her garden. Linda was known for her kindness and generosity. Even unexpected guests were warmly welcomed and often greeted with a thoughtful gift. Linda also had a deep appreciation for those who served our country. For many years, she volunteered with Adopt-A-Platoon, sending care packages and words of encouragement to soldiers stationed overseas. Her compassion and generosity touched many lives, both at home and far away.
Linda is survived by her children, Ronald Janz, Jr. of Illinois, Patricia French of Illinois, Daniel (Melissa) Janz of Madison, and Andrew Janz of Beaver Dam; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; siblings, Donna Lee Frost, George “Butch” (Lori) Scheidt, and Phillip (Naomi) Scheidt; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and sisters, Suzie Gill and Marialice Van Goosen.

I am Linda’s youngest cousin. We are 10 years apart. I guess when we were kids 10 years seems a lot.
Even so Linda was always kind to me.
Our Grandma used to have family gatherings, and being one of the youngest, me and a couple of the other young ones used to have to sit at the kiddy table. For reasons unknown the older cousins used to rotate and sit with us. Perhaps to see to it we behaved, or help us eat, I really don’t know.
Linda and my older cousins were always nice to us. Age still kind of mattered then.
I was 11 years old when Linda got married. I remember it well, the whole family was there, dancing and having a wonderful time.
Eleven years later, I got married and had kids. Now age no longer mattered.
We often discussed our children, and later our grandchildren We developed a close bond and friendship.
I didn’t get to see her as often as I would have liked, because I live in Minnesota.
One of my favorite Scriptures is Psalm 37:11, about how the Meek will possess or inherit the earth. I look forward to the time we will garden together, and she can teach me how to can what we grow.
To Linda’s family, my cousins Donna, George (Butch), and Phillip, her children, grandchildren, and beyond. My love and thoughts are with you. ❤️

My Mom will truly be missed.
As I grew into adulthood and had children of my own, our bond became something I cannot fully explain. I will miss her jokes, our conversations, and talking to her on the phone. My Mom lived a simple life, and she loved supporting and cheering on her family and friends, especially on Facebook.
Growing up, she had two huge gardens and made the best preserves and pies from the strawberries and rhubarb she grew. I also remember my first movie in a theater with my Mom and Grandma. We went to see Pretty Woman, and that is a memory I will always cherish. She could stretch a dollar. One day she did not have enough ground beef to make meat loaf so she added left o er liver to it. My brothers ate it and I said my Mom did you put liver in this? She looked at me and laughed because she knew my brothers hated liver. They immediately put their forks down. So many other memories.... ❤️
My Mom’s life had its challenges, but one thing that always stood out to me was her perseverance. She kept going, no matter what life brought her way.
She is no longer in pain. I can picture her dancing in Heaven with my Dad, her two sisters, and my grandparents. What a beautiful reunion that must be.

I am Linda’s Aunt in Harrisburg pa. I was 8 years old when Linda was born. She was born in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. Linda was a generous woman.
