In Loving Memory of Lori Ann Mason
December 30, 1960 – August 5, 2026
“To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die.”
—Thomas Campbel
On August 5, 2026, heaven gained an angel—a very unique angel. Lori waited until her family left her side and heard her daughter’s last words. She passed peacefully with her best friend beside her, knowing how loved she was. At the time of her passing, she was a resident at the Avina of Mayville facility.
The celebration of life will be held on September 19, 2026, at one of her favorite places; Horicon Ledge Park in the upper pavilion. We are planning on starting at 2 pm and going until we are done.
Lori Ann Mason was born in Chicago, IL, to Raymond Mason and Mildred Lois Cunningham, both of whom preceded her in death. Lori lived her life as best she could, with the tools she had and the circumstances she was given.
Those waiting for her in heaven were Lori’s siblings: Carol Lynn Hurtt; Raymond Lee Mason (Lee); Patricia L. Clark; Susan Lynn Yanick; brother-in-law Martin Vincent Yannick Sr.; and her nephew, Tony Juggan.
She is survived by her sister, Peggy Lee Juggan, and her brother, Michael Wayne Mason. Lori is also survived by her children, Ted Mason, Keith Mason, and Theresa Mason (Jaden Mason and Phoenix Mason), along with numerous other grandchildren and informally adopted sons and daughters.
Lori had numerous jobs throughout her life, but none kept her as active as her love for gardening, animals, her children, and her family. Lori’s infectious laugh and smile will never be forgotten.
“Grief is like the ocean; it comes in waves, ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes it is overwhelming. All we can do is learn to swim.”
