Lorraine Helen Neis

January 28, 1927 - August 10, 2009

Lorraine H. Neis, age 82, formerly of Reeseville, died Monday, August 10, 2009 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

Visitation for Lorraine will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Reeseville on Friday, August 14, 2009 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Friday, beginning at 11:00 AM. Rev. Donald Steinberg will officiate. Burial will be at Lowell Cemetery.

The former Lorraine Helen Raabe was born on January 28, 1927 in Horicon, Wisconsin to the late Herman and Alma (Klebs) Raabe. On June 15, 1946, she was united in marriage with Raymond Neis at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Reeseville. They farmed together in the Reeseville area for many years and they also owned and operated the grocery store in Reeseville for several years. After they retired, Lorraine and Raymond moved to Hazelhurst, Wisconsin. Raymond preceded Lorraine in death on December 28, 1999.

Survivors include her son, Richard (LuAnn) Neis of Burnett; two grandchildren, Kurt (Deana) Neis of Horicon and Tonya (Jeff) Feucht of Horicon; four great grandchildren, Abby and Ryan Neis and Jared and Darren Feucht; her sister, Jeane (Leonard) Umland of Beaver Dam, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Glenn, a daughter, Kathleen, and a brother, Reuben Raabe.

My Aunt Mamie (Lorraine) will sadly be missed. She was my only living Aunt left and now she has gone to heaven. Even though I am unable to attend the funeral services, I have been thinking about her daily and always will. She was so full of spunk and always was a wonderful Aunt to me. My heart goes out to my entire family for this loss,especially my mother (Jeannie)
