Services: Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, January 6th at Zion Lutheran Church in the township of Theresa at 1 pm.

Visitation: Visitation will take place on Monday, January 5th at 3 pm until 7 pm at Zion Lutheran Church and also on Tuesday, January 6th from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm at the church.

LuAnn D. Ehlers, 50, of N7290 Highway P, Mayville, died on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at Froedtert Memorial Hospital, Milwaukee, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at 1 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, town of Theresa. The Rev. Kenneth Bittorf will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, town of Theresa. Friends may call on Monday, Jan. 5, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, town of Theresa, and on Tuesday, Jan. 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.

LuAnn was born on Dec. 10, 1958, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Aaron and Delores (Gramlow) Henning. She was married to Kenneth W. Ehlers on May 17, 1980, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, township of Herman.

LuAnn was a 1977 graduate of Mayville High School. She was a employee of Lee Precision of Hartford, a former employee of West Bend Co., and a former employee of R.E. Phelon of Lomira. She was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, town of Theresa. LuAnn enjoyed cutting lawn on her little John Deere tractor, gardening and spending time with her family, she also enjoyed making blitz torte.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth, Mayville; one son, Dale (special friend Julie Wellhoefer) Ehlers, Mayville; one daughter Lisa (special friend Lyle Lahr) Ehlers, Mayville; her mother, Delores Henning, Theresa; her mother-in-law, Edna Ehlers, Mayville; two sisters, Karen (Lloyd) Giese, Mayville, and Sylvia (Larry) Giese, Mayville; one brother, David Henning, Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Aaron, and father-in-law, Carroll and also her sister-in-law Terri Henning.

I will forever remember LuAnne as a caring, funny, loving, and beautiful person both inside and out. As she shines down on her family and friends from heaven, I know she blesses them every day with the lessons they learned from her during her short stay on this earth. As she waits in heaven to be reunited with the people who care so deeply about her, we can only hope to be as wonderful of a person as she was.

All of my love and sympathy goes out to her family for the Lord has called LuAnn home sooner than expected. When we are all called home, she will be there with open arms and a warm smile.
