Lynn was born on January 7, 1934, in Horicon, Wisconsin, the son of Oscar and Elsie (Marx) Spittel. He graduated from Horicon High School in 1952 and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1954.

A familiar face on the ball fields, Lynn dedicated countless years to coaching boys’ Little League, softball, and hardball. He took great pride in helping young athletes learn not only the game, but also the value of teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship. Outside of coaching, Lynn enjoyed golfing and bowling and cherished the friendships and memories made along the way.
Lynn was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church in Horicon, where his faith remained an important part of his life.
He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his community, and the many young people he encouraged throughout the years. His years of service, love of sports, and quiet commitment to those around him left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
