Pamie Sue Drzonek left a message on April 30, 2010:

Karen was one of those people in your life that leaves a mark on your heart; and leaves you filled with so much love that, when you think of her, a warm smile and fond memories overcome you. The lady who loved purple, loved life, her husband, her daughter, her grandson, her Jassi; with such compassion and complete selflessness touched us all. Anyone who was lucky enough to meet her and truely get to know her was blessed beyond words. I will always look back at the years I worked at Larson's with such loving memories because of sweet kindhearted people like Karen!! My sympathy goes out to all who knew and loved her and I sincerely hope she knew just how special of a person she was to me and everyone in her life. May God comfort you all through the sad days and bring you happiness with the fond memories of the days she spent with us all. God has blessed us with Karen's life and he will take care of her until we can meet again. Love, Pamie Sue

Dear Marilyn and Ed, I am so very sorry to hear about your mother Mamie''s death. But I am very comforted and happy to know that she is at last happy with all of our loved ones, in heaven. While reading her obituary, I was amazed at what a talented, loving person your mother is! Music is very special to me, as I have played piano for many years, and still enjoy playing piano now! I enjoyed my many years of piano lessons. Two of my best friends in high school were members of St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Beaver dam; one of them was Carol Huebner, the daughter of Pastor Huebner in Beaver Dam. Now, our daughter Jenny has best friends at that congregation as well! We wish you our deepest sympathy; from Roger, Jenny and I. You and your family are so very special to us! :-) Love, Julie :-)

To the family of Mrs. Hall: Mrs. Hall (because we respected her we never called her anything other than Mrs. Hall) taught me English, Music (even though I couldn''t sing) and German at Roseland High School in the late 60''s. She was a very determined teacher/women and did not let anything slip by her when we were in her class. As I look back, I know we learned the ''book'' stuff we were suppose to learn, but more importantly I learned to be honest, true to myself, and determination from this great lady. My prayers are with you, you should be proud. Linda Phillips Iwen

Several years ago I had the privilege of making friends with Mamie. She offered to be my piano teacher and soon became my good friend and confidant. After our weekly lesson we would sit and talk. I learned valuable life lessons from Mamie. She was a beautiful, unrepeatable human being. I feel that I was blessed to know her. We always concluded our time together with a kiss and "I love you". I know in my heart that she was and continues to be my guardian angel. Until we meet again, My love to you...Pamela Murr Baas
