Margaret F. Giese

Margaret Florence Giese, age 84, of Mayville, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Mayville.

In honoring Margie’s wishes, a private family memorial service will take place.

Margaret was born on November 13, 1941, in Fond du Lac to Leonard and Olive (Weber) Steger. She graduated from Mayville High School in 1959. She married Robert R. Giese at St. Theresa Catholic Church on October 10, 1959.

She lived most of her life in Theresa until moving to Mayville in 2007 after she and her husband retired. Margaret worked at the Theresa Mutal Insurance Company for over 19 years. She worked at the Theresa Public Library for 10 years and enjoyed Storytime, interacting with the patrons and her co-workers. Margaret enjoyed crocheting and playing cards. She liked watching the Packers, Brewers, and Nascar.

Her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the most precious people in her life.

Margaret is survived by her husband Robert; three daughters: Chris (Dave Johnson) Giese, Deborah (Robert) Radke, and Renee (John Fischer) Bonack; 3 grandchildren: Tanya (Brian) Wallace, Amanda (Dan Causier) Radke, and Matthew Bonack; 6 great-grandchildren: Natalie Wallace, Anna Wallace, Lydia Wallace, Ada Causier, Roux Causier, and Heath Causier; and her brother-in-law Duane Giese. Margaret is further survived by many special nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings: Raymond Steger, Paul Steger, and Mary Ann Hechimovich; her sisters-in-law: Elaine Steger, Rita Giese, Rosemary Giese, Estella Giese, and Deanna Giese; and her brothers-in-law: Tom Hechimovich, Ralph Giese, Rodney Giese, and Ronald Giese.

Special thank you to the staff at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living and St. Croix Hospice for the wonderful care given to mom the past three years.
