Marilyn (Mary) Luck passed away peacefully at Waupun Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the age of 86.
Mary was born December 13, 1939, to Leonard and Lillie (Hintzmann) Rackemann at St. Mary’s Hospital in Watertown. On January 2, 1940, she was baptized at her parent’s home. On March 29, 1953, Mary was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown. She graduated from Johnson Creek High School in 1957. After High School, Mary attended Northwestern Prep in Watertown for business. Mary was united in marriage to Donald Luck at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Watertown on August 29, 1959.
Mary farmed with her husband at Burnett and was Secretary for the family corporation. She liked to bake, cook, garden, tend to her flowers, and enjoyed bird watching. In 1996, Mary and Don retired to their lake home and enjoyed fishing and traveling. Mary was a member of Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, Waupun.
Mary is survived by two children: Jonathan (Lori) Luck of Burnett and Susan (Jonathan) Schroeder of Sadorus, IL; four grandchildren: Samantha Luck of Beaver Dam, Adam (Henriet) Luck of Burnett, Amanda Buchholz of Waupun, and Noah Schroeder of Sadorus, IL; two great grandchildren: Avery and Aleah Buchholz of Waupun; as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Don, parents, and mother and father-in-law Carl and Anna (Mueller) Luck.
A visitation will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. Rev. Bill Finn will officiate. Interment will take place at North Burnett Cemetery, Burnett.
