Mary E. Helgerson, 91, of Sun Prairie passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.
Mary was born on December 1, 1931 in Rio, WI to George and Ethel (Clark) Smith. She was a graduate of Rio High School. Mary was married to Vernon “Bud” Helgerson on November 4, 1950. She was a member of Spring Prairie Lutheran Church in Keyeser, WI.
Mary is survived by her sons: Steve and Gary Helgerson; grandchildren: Erika and Justin (Tiffany); great grandchild Junia; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bud in 2008; and brother Robert Smith.
It was Mary’s wish to be cremated. Funeral services are pending.
