Matthew R. Voigt

March 2, 1987 - September 18, 2011

Matthew R. Voigt, 24, Reeseville and formerly of Beaver Dam, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011 at his home.

Visitation for Matt will be at the Reeseville Community Center on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011 from 5 until 8 pm, and also on Thursday from 9:30 until 11 AM. The Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM, on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011 at the Reeseville Community Center, with Celebrant John R. Leiting officiating.

Matthew Roland Voigt was born on March 2, 1987 in Madison to Randy & Deb (Hafenstein) Voigt. He was a 2005 graduate of Beaver Dam High School, and had worked at Northwoods Paper Converting, and for the last year at Smart Parts of Hustisford. He enjoyed working in the pits at the Beaver Dam Raceway every Saturday night. He was an active member of the Reeseville Fire Dept and his service to community was special to him. Matt”s friendship and dedication will be sincerely missed- “Old Man”. Matt was an animal lover, and dedicated his free time to his pets and his vehicles. He was always willing to help anyone. He will be truly missed by his best friend- his Dad. “Matt-I will miss your daily phone calls”- Dad.

Survivors include his parents of Beaver Dam, his sister Melissa Voigt of Beaver Dam, his maternal Grandmother Ann Hafenstein of Beaver Dam, his Aunts and Uncles, Tom and Sue Voigt of Beaver Dam, Karen (Dick) Plath, Cambria, Denny (Donna) Hafenstein, of Beaver Dam, Sandi (Dana) Dixon, of Florida, Sue (Ken) Baker, Waupun, Dave Hafenstein, Waupun, cousins, other relatives and friends. Matt was preceded in death by his paternal Grandparents Roland and Sharon Voigt, his maternal Grandfather Gordon Hafenstein and his aunt Diane Voigt.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the Reeseville Fire Dept or the Watertown Humane Society would be appreciated.
