Maxine G. Schraufnagel, 87, 438 Ashford Ave., Lomira, and formerly of Kekoskee, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, at Hope, Health & Rehabilitation Center in Lomira.
A Mass of Christian burial for Maxine will be on Monday, Aug. 3 at noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lomira. The Rev. Dennis Budka will officiate. Entombment will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac.
Visitation will be on Monday, Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. until noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, Lomira.
Maxine was born on May 9, 1922, the daughter of Henry and Nora (Oechsner) Ertl, in the town of LeRoy. On Oct. 14, 1939, she was united in marriage to Beno G. Schraufnagel at St. Andrew Catholic Church, LeRoy.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Lomira and a member of the Legion of Mary; Maxine enjoyed baking, gardening, canning, bingo and playing cards, dancing and trips. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Floyd (RoseAnn) Schraufnagel, LeRoy, Ron (Karen) Schraufnagel, Hartford, Diane (Dennis) Gindt, Kewaskum, Doris (Tom) Davidsen, Walden, Colo.; and Darlene (Dick) Vollmer, Eagle River; sister, Rosina (Armond) Waas, Lomira; special friend and roommate, Aurelia Kuehl, Lomira; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1988; one daughter, Christine; two sisters, Ludvine and Phyllis; one brother, Albert.
