Melissa M. Hammann, 44, of Grafton and formerly of Horicon passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at her home.
Melissa was born on May 7, 1979 in Beaver Dam to Dale and Ann (Zirbel) Hammann. She was a 1997 graduate of Horicon High School and a 2005 graduate of UW-Whitewater. In 2007, Melissa received her master’s degree in speech therapy from UW-River Falls. She was employed with Lake Country Health Services in Oconomowoc as a speech therapist.
Melissa was a very caring person. She was dedicated and passionate about her work and her patients. Melissa had a love of animals especially showing horses.
Melissa is survived by her parents: Dale and Ann Hammann of Horicon; her brother Corey (Jessica) Hammann of Waupun; her fiancé Frank Morales of Grafton; other relatives and friends; and her special companion Max. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Elmer and June Hammann and Norman and Erna Zirbel.
A visitation will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Juneau on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. Rev. David Brandt will officiate. Interment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton.
