LOMIRA – Merlin Henry Huettner, 55, of 545 Main St., Lomira, died on Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Clearview Long Term Care, Juneau.
Merlin was born on Feb. 9, 1953, in Hartford, the son of Elmer and Tillie (Baierl) Huettner. He was married to LaVerne Krapfl on Aug. 15, 1998, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Mayville.
Merlin was a graduate of Lomira High School. He retired from John Deere Horicon as a welder. He was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Mayville.
Survivors include his wife, LaVerne; two children, James (Amy) Huettner, Fond du Lac, and Linda (Richard) Thurber, Freedom; step-children, Louie (Casey) Schultz IV, Fond du Lac, Lisa (Mike) Dittian, Lomira, and Katie Kurtz, Arizona; one sister, Carol (Ervin) Wietor, Brownsville, three brothers, Ralph (Elaine) Huettner, Waupaca, Rueben (Sun) Huettner, Korea, and David (Karen) Huettner, Theresa; 12 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
