Merlin Bleifuss, age 81, of Reeseville, died on Thursday, January 03, 2008 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 7, 2008 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at First United Church of Christ, in Reeseville. The Funeral Service for Merlin will follow on Monday, at 11:00 AM, at the church with Rev. Lois A. Rosko officiating. Burial will take place at the Reeseville Cemetery.
Merlin O. Bleifuss was born on January 2, 1926, the first child of Frank and Lydia (Guenther) Bleifuss, of Reeseville, Wisconsin. Following eight years of grade school, he farmed the family farms on Maiden Lane, Lowell Township until his retirement. He moved to Reeseville in 1995, where he lived for nine years until going to live at The Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam. He was an active member of First United Church of Christ in Reeseville and served as an usher for many years.
Merlin was the last surviving member of his immediate family, being preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother Clarence Bleifuss. He is survived by several cousins and many friends.
It is suggested that memorials be made in Merlin”s name to First United Church of Christ, 215 Lincoln Avenue, Reeseville, Wisconsin, 53579.
