Minnie J. Laue, 92, of Beaver Dam passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.
Minnie was born on October 28, 1933 in the township of Burnett to Julius and Jenny (Naparalla) Beske. She was married to Mervin Laue on June 21, 1952 in Fox Lake. Minnie enjoyed cooking at Wayland Academy, St. Stephen’s Lutheran School, and the Beaver Dam High School. After retirement, she worked as a crossing guard at the Beaver Dam Middle School for many years. Minnie was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.
Family was most important to Minnie. She and her husband Mervin were able to give their children a wonderful childhood. Minnie loved watching her grandchildren’s activities. Minnie also loved the outdoors, whether it was gardening, collecting four leaf clovers, or spending time outside with her corgis.
Minnie is survived by her children: Barbara (Richard) Schmidt of Juneau, Beverly Laue of Beaver Dam, and Jeanette Gorr of Beaver Dam; daughter-in-law Nancy Laue of Juneau; grandchildren: David (Laura) Sell, Derek (Michelle) Sell, Kimberly Sell, Jonathan (Rachel) Gorr, and Brandon (Kim) Gorr; step-grandchildren: Brian (Bobbi) Schmidt, Bruce (Angela) Schmidt, and Susan Schmidt; 10 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; her sister Edna Vredeveld; sister-in-law Gwen Laue; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Mervin in 2003; son Jerold Laue; son-in-law Brian Gorr; and siblings: David Beske, Evelyn Neuman, Adeline Gerretson, Josephine Schultz, and Eugene Beske.
A visitation will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Mark Reichert will officiate. Interment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton.
