Nancy Elfreida Fick McCully, age 93, passed away in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin on December 9, 2025.

Nancy was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. In the 1950s, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her home for nearly seven decades before returning to Wisconsin in 2022.

Nancy devoted her life to her family and to caring for others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She worked for many years in the registration office at Phoenix College before becoming a kindergarten aide, a role she cherished for 13 years at Grace Lutheran Evangelical Church in Glendale, Arizona. Even after retirement, Nancy continued to serve her community as a school crossing guard and later as a bus monitor, always watching over children with patience and kindness.
Family was the center of Nancy’s life, and she was rarely without grandchildren or great-grandchildren nearby. She loved watching mystery shows, traveling in her younger years, working on puzzles, reading a good book, and enjoying shopping trips. She had a fondness for Diet Cokes, cardinals and hummingbirds, lighthouses, and a good nap. Nancy never met a stranger—she had a gift for making everyone feel loved, welcomed, and comforted.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Roland McCully; and her parents, Myrtle and Edward Fick.

She is survived by her children Karen and Alan (Laura); grandchildren Sara, Joshua, Cory(Brittney),Danielle(Tucker), Ryan(Serena)and Westley; great grandchildren Chloe, Vanz, Aaron, Thomas, Arthur, Tyler, and Douglas; her sister Lois Meier, her three nieces; along with many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held in June 2026, with details to be announced at a later date to accommodate family travel.

Nancy will be terribly missed and lovingly remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the deep love she had for her family.

Nancy and I became friends in the early 1950's as we were both married to Camelback High School teachers who were good friends. Nancy was a caring person who maintained an optimistic outlook even in the most difficult situations. I valued her advice and miss her wonderful smile and laughter. Although we have lived miles apart in recent years, we maintained contact. My deepest sympathy to her family.

When I was growing up at Grace Glendale, Nancy was such a kind woman. I remember her well, and she made a big impression on a little girl. I think of her as always greeting everyone and having a smile for all. I knew exactly who it was when they announced her passing at church. To her dear family, you already know what she was like, but she touched so many with her happy disposition.

We loved Nancy very much.. My granddaughter Chloe was her great grand daughter. I always enjoyed her sunny disposition and wonderful smile. She led a good life and we will always have her in our hearts.

Nancy was a pure gem. She was very kind and thoughtful. I loved being around her. Everytime I see a lighthouse I think of her. She loved her family and they meant everything to her. She sure will be missed.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

She was one of the best human beings I ever knew it was an angel in disguise from the beginning took care of everybody and everything she didn't know a stranger . She loves her family to no end and all the people she met rest well Mom you deserve it.
