Nerma Diane Strehlow, age 79, of Mayville, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 26, 2026 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa.
In honoring Nerma’s wishes, a private family memorial service will take place on a later date.
Nerma was born on Christmas Day in 1946 to Howard and Francis (Henry) Wilson. She was united in marriage to Roger Strehlow on December 7, 1963, in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.
Nerma was a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville.
Nerma lived a life rooted in love, hard work, and the simple joys of life. She tended to her garden with great care and had fun bowling with family and friends. Nerma cherished making memories with her family while camping, hunting, and fishing. Nerma was so proud to watch her grandchildren play baseball.
Nerma is survived by her loving husband Roger; her children: Karen (Daniel) Lehman of Theresa and Robert (Laura) Strehlow of Lyons, WI; grandchildren: Sidney (Gracie) Lehman, RC Lehman, Sylvia (Jose) Perez, Tanya (Troy) Hintz, and Jason (Amber) Strehlow; ten great-grandchildren; her siblings: Charlotte Stalzberg, Opel (Donald) Ensenbach, and Mylan (Connie) Wilson. Nerma is further survived by other dear relatives and friends.
Nerma was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers and sisters.
