Orla C. Sprague passed away peacefully Monday, November 6, 2023 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam. She suffered from dementia for many years.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Church United Methodist with Rev. Eric Taylor officiating. All who knew Orla are invited to attend.
Orla was born in Birnamwood, Wisconsin on August 22, 1930. She grew up in Birnamwood and graduated from Birnamwood High School. She was married to Percival Sprague in 1949, he preceded her in death in 2011.
Orla worked at Schultz Bros. Department Store in Beaver Dam as a bookkeeper until it closed. She was a dedicated member of Trinity Church United Methodist and a volunteer for collections and church newsletter. Orla and her husband traveled the country with the Nomads of the Shriners.
Oral is survived by her two children: Susan J. Braemer of Beaver Dam and Thomas E. Sprague of Augusta, GA; four grandchildren: Tiffanie A. Zanowski of Appleton, WI, Thomas H. Sprague, Chief Warrant Office Fort Liberty, Austin P. Sprague, New York, Clair E. Sprague, Portland, Washington.
The family is very grateful for all the care given to Orla by Hillside Manor.
