Patricia Egan Everman

Patricia E. Everman, age 67, of Beaver Dam, died on Monday, December 21, 2009 at UW Hospital in Madison.

Visitation will be at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 127 W. Maple Ave. in Beaver Dam, on Saturday, December 26, 2009 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church on Saturday at 12:00 Noon with Fr. Charles Scheuerell officiating. A luncheon will follow immediately after the Mass at church and private entombment will take place at Allouez Catholic Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum in Green Bay on Monday.

The former Patricia Egan Gleason was born on May 25, 1942 in Green Bay to Raymond J. and Mary A. (Riley) Gleason. She graduated from St. Patrick”s grade school in Beaver Dam and then graduated from Holy Angels Catholic High School in Milwaukee. Patricia later attended college at UW Madison. On September 21, 1974, she was united in marriage with Donald Everman in Green Bay. Throughout the years, Patricia worked for a medical office in Monona, Dr. Dan Dries dental office in Beaver Dam, and for Dental Arts Association in Green Bay. She liked sports, cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers. Patricia was also very creative and constructed beautiful needle-points and home-made Christmas ornaments. She was involved with, and was co-chair, for the Dodge County Toy Bank for 25 years. Patricia also enjoyed helping out at the St. Vincent de Paul store around Christmas time preparing baskets with food and toys for children in need. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Church and was on the St. Patrick”s Human Concerns Committee. Patricia was grateful for the friendships that developed while distributing Holy Communion to the Homebound through the church. She was always willing to give to others. Patricia was able to be accepted as an organ donor and now part of her lives on through someone else.

Survivors are her husband, Don Everman, of Beaver Dam, two sisters, Kathleen (Carl) Williamson of Sun Prairie, and Maureen (Richard) Horan of Madison, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Imelda, in infancy and Celine Kanellos.

Thank you to the Beaver Dam Fire and Rescue unit and the Beaver Dam Community Hospital ER Department, as well as the UW Hospital Trauma Life Center in Madison for their exceptional care. Also, thank you to Fr. John, Seminarian Enrique, and the Chaplain at UW Hospital.

Penny & Gary, I am so sorry to hear about Duane's passing. My deepest condolences to you. Duane was one of the finest people I ever had the pleasure of knowing and growing up near. I just found out about Duane's passing at 8:15 PM this evening. Duane was always always there for me including at my brothers recent funeral @ First Lutheran, Monarch Range R&D Department, Amateur Radio ELMER, RRRC, First Lutheran Church, and many more. I am sad that I didn't find out sooner as I would have made the trip from Fond du Lac so I could have been there for Duane and his family like he was always there for me! Yes, you are already missed!

My most sincere condolences to Duane's family. I cannot even begin to express what sort of an impression Duane has made on me and the encouragement he provided before I became a ham radio operator. My sympathy is extended to Duane's entire family. He was a great human being. I will always recall him as a person who was knowledgable, humble and a very pleasant personality. He was also a great DX'er on the air, as he would always break the pile-ups with his big radio signal. Our sympathy to your family. Duane was a wonderful neighbor, friend, and a mentor for the sound system at church. From the time you moved in st 410 DeClark and we picked rocks out of your front lawn right up to the end, you could always count on Duane to be interested, helpful. and friendly. I will miss our chats on the telephone. He promised to put in a good word for me when he arrived in Heaven, and I know he did.
