Patricia Jeanne Boock, of Milwaukee, WI, the second daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert F. Boock (Dorothy) passed away on Saturday, March 30th in the hospice unit of Burlington Memorial Hospital, ,Burlington, WI. Prior to that she resided at The Bay of Burlington Rehab and Care Center. Patricia (or Pat or Patti as she was often called) was born on Sept. 2nd in 1944 in Madison, WI. at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. At that time her father, Captain Robert Boock, was serving in the South Pacific during W.W 2. Pat, her mother Dorothy (nee Chatfield) R.N. and her sister Barbara alternated living with Grandma and Grandpa Boock in Waterloo WI and with Grampaw and Granny Chatfield in the mountains of Southeastern Kentucky. After the war Pat’s father returned to Louisville, KY. to complete his surgical residency. During that time another sister, Margaret, was born in June of 1947. In August 1947 the family moved to Beaver Dam, WI where Dr. Boock began his surgical practice and Saint Stephen’s Lutheran Church became part of their world. Pat began kindergarten, Barbara started 2nd grade and Margaret waited to attend kindergarten. Meanwhile two more children were born, Robert Jr. in Oct. of 1951, and Susan in March of 1953. Both were baptized by Reverend L.C. Kirst of Saint Stephen’s Lutheran Church. While in grade school Pat played golf and tennis. She took piano lessons at Wayland Academy and also learned to play the clarinet. She was definitely musically inclined with her talent on the piano and her rich alto singing voice. She was active in the junior choir, directed by Mr. Voight, her favorite teacher. While attending high school she belonged to the chorus and took part in operettas performed during that time. Pat was confirmed and graduated from Saint Stephen’s in 1958 and was a faithful member even when living elsewhere. In 1962 Pat went on to study Cosmetology in Madison-something she had always been interested in. Her first job was in the salon in Marshall Fields where she became very popular, with many clients competing for appointments. She spent three years in Denver and returned to Madison to a very successful career. Her next and last move was to Milwaukee where she again worked at hair dressing. In the early 1990’s as her parents health began to decline, Pat, as well as, her siblings, worked to keep them in their home. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, two aunts, two uncles and one sister, Susan. She is survived by her daughter Laurie (Kendyll) Campbell, two grandchildren and one great grandchild; sisters Barbara (Tom) Kelly, Green Bay; Margaret Boock, Savannah; brother Robert Jr.(Rafat) Boock, two aunts, Marguerite Allen, and Amy Boock; plus nieces and nephews, cousins and other friends. Pat loved fishing and the out of doors. She loved all animals especially the seven cats she had during her lifetime. Pat was a “night owl” and accomplished much after everyone else was in bed. She got along with the young and old alike and in addition to music she enjoyed writing poetry and reading. She was interested in many things and had a quizzical and analytical mind, as well as, a strong aesthetic sense about her. She was fun and she was funny. One person who thought so was Joyce Grabowski to whom she was united in marriage in March of 2017.They had been together for forty years prior to Joyce’s death on March 24th of 2019. Pat will remain forever in our hearts because “she is not gone-just gone on ahead.” A memorial gathering for Patricia will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home, N7199 N. Crystal Lake Road, Beaver Dam. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00 p.m. with John Leiting as Celebrant followed by a light luncheon. Inurnment will be at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Nicolet Memorial Gardens, Green Bay, WI at a later date. The Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam is serving the family.
