Patrick M. Triggs, age 63, died Friday, February 23, 2007 at his home in Horicon.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Murray Funeral Home in Horicon. A memorial service will follow, beginning at 12:00 Noon.
Patrick Michael Triggs was born on September 15, 1943 in Madison, Wisconsin to the late Robert and Helen (Schaub) Triggs. A renowned chef, Patrick owned and operated Whispering Wings Restaurant in Horicon and also worked for several prominent country clubs and restaurants in the Horicon and Madison areas. In February of 1997, he was united in marriage with Judy Knuth in Juneau, Wisconsin. Patrick was an avid hunter and fisherman and especially enjoyed duck hunting. He loved the times he spent on Horicon Marsh and would guide other hunters who wanted to hunt on the marsh. Patrick also loved his dogs. He competed in National Field Trial competitions where some of his dogs won national championships.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Triggs of Horicon, four children, Steven (Jody) Triggs of Kingston, Jodi (Kevin) Allen of Rockledge, FL, Jennifer (Hani) Alyousef of Milwaukee and Jesse (Rachel) Knasinski of West Salem, IL, nine grandchildren, three brothers, Ronald (Jane) Triggs of Cottage Grove, Bob (Louise) Triggs of Whidbey Island, WA, and Casey Triggs of Mayville, a special nephew, Jon (Janelle) Martinson of Cottage Grove, his mother-in-law, Dorothy Knuth of Waukesha and his sister-in-law, Jeanne (Jay) Johns of Oconomowoc, other relatives and friends. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Michael Triggs, a sister, Theresa Gage, and his father-in-law, Alvin Knuth.
The Murray Funeral Home in Horicon is serving the family.
