Paul James Wagner, age 57, of Iron Ridge, passed away on July 29, 2026, at his home.
A Celebration of Paul’s life will be held on a later date.
Paul was born on September 22, 1968, to Ronald and Helena (Freund) Wagner. On May 18, 2007, Paul married the love of his life, Julie Miller.
Paul Wagner lived life with a passion for horsepower, hard work, and the people he cared about most. Racing was more of a way of life than a hobby for Paul. He loved spending time at the Slinger Speedway, building engines, and working on muscle cars and trucks. His shop was a place where he and his buddies gathered, shared stories, and worked on the cars they loved.
One of Paul’s greatest joys was sharing his love of motorsports with his son, Brian. From taking him to motocross races to spending countless hours together in the shop, those moments reflected the close bond they shared and created memories that will be cherished forever.
At the time of his passing, Paul was working as a Engine Builder at Mercury Marine, where he built high-performance engines for race boats, combining his talent with the passion that defined so much of his life.
Paul will be remembered for his kind heart, skilled hands, unwavering passion for racing, and the many friendships he built along the way. He leaves behind a legacy of treasured memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him
Paul is survived by his loving wife Julie; his son Brian Wagner; father Ronald (Gail) Wagner; mother Helena (Butch) Held; and his brothers Guy (Kari) Wagner and Brett (Jennifer Olson) Wagner. Paul is further survived by many other relatives and dear friends.
