Petronilla “Pat” Kalscheur, age 98, died Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Golden Living Continental manor in Randolph.
Visitation for Pat will be at Holy Family Catholic Church in Reeseville on Monday, November 17, 2008 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church on Monday, beginning at 12:00 Noon. Fr. Jerome Rinzel will officiate. Burial will be at St. John”s Cemetery in Lowell.
The former Petronilla Adaline was born on July 23, 1910 in the Town of Bristol, Dane County, Wisconsin to the late Peter and Margret (Weisensel) Batz. On July 23, 1935, she was united in marriage with Edward Kalscheur in East Bristol, Wisconsin. Pat farmed with her husband on farms near Sun Prairie, Columbus and Reeseville until they retired in late 1962. When Reeseville celebrated its 150 anniversary, she was honored as the village”s oldest living female. Pat was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Reeseville where she had been active in the Altar Society and the choir.
Survivors include her son, Dennis (Barb) Kalscheur of Madison, a daughter-in-law, Joyce Kalscheur of Reeseville, eight grandchildren, Julie (Brent) Lords of Lake Mills, Mary (Pat) Waitkus of Sheboygan Falls, Joni (Chris) Brackman of Delafield, Ken Kalscheur of Brookings, SD, Debbie Kalscheur of Denver, CO, Dan Kalscheur, Rob Kalscheur and J.J. Kalscheur, all of Minneapolis, MN, five great grandchildren, Heather and Krista Brackman, Charlie and Katie Waitkus, and Tristan Lords, four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Pearl Batz of East Bristol, Joe (Katie) Kalscheur of Sun Prairie, Mary Hollfelder of Oregon, Sr. Bernie Kalscheur of Campbellsport, Florence Krantz of Madison and Frank Anding of Burnsville, MN, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, a daughter, Lorraine, three sons, Edward Jr., LaVerne, and Ralph, and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Petronilla A. Kalscheur”s name to Hillside Hospice in Beaver Dam.
