Ralph E. Hopf, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at his home, at the age of 89.
The visitation will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:50 a.m. The funeral service will follow on Monday at 12:00 noon with Deacon Randy Wells officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Ralph Earl was born on April 16, 1934 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Frederick and Genevieve (Sabin) Hopf. He was a 1952 graduate of Kenosha Bradford High School. On February 11, 1956, Ralph was united in marriage with Lorraine Kirchberg at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Ralph served in the United States Army from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1958. Ralph worked as a welder at John Deere. He retired in 1992 after almost 30 years. Ralph enjoyed camping, hunting and golfing in his free time. He was an avid reader and had a thirst for knowledge. Ralph was considered a jack-of-all-trades and was overall a good guy who will be missed by many.
Ralph is survived by his wife Lorraine of Lowell; children, Jeff (Theresa) Hopf of Grafton, Susan (Timothy) Ligon of Neosho, Sheila (Fred) Setzer of Lowell, and Gerald (Susan) Hopf of Boerne, TX; daughter-in-law, Kay Hopf; grandchildren, Ryan, Phillip, Drace and Alex, Joshua and Nicole, Eric and David, Nikki, Chelsea, Amber, Ayla and Brandi, Shanna, Brandon and Anthony; 28 great grandchildren; a sister, Corinne (Bill) Lines of CA; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, David Hopf; and great granddaughter, Ari Ebling-Hopf.
