Randy,
To hear the news of Randy’s health was startling to say the least. In my years of working with Randy, I grew to appreciate his dedication, passion and commitment to performance and mentoring. Although his passing is a loss I cannot comprehend, I will cherish the time I had to learn from him and the lasting impression he will have upon me going forward.
My condolences to the entire Haass family. I worked with Randy for 32 years at Hampel Corp. He was a kind and compassionate person. I have nothing but respect for him. He will certainly be missed by all. RIP Randal P.
What can be said that already hasn't. i could go 2 or 3 years without seeing Randy, and it would feel like I had just seen him yesterday. A lot of good memories, silly stories that I will keep with me forever. Just a really good-hearted person, and I'm sure that great character has been passed onto Amy, Andrew, Matthew - and on to their children (grandchildren). God Bless Randy, and all his family and friends.

The best of friends, loyalist employee and closest confident – Randy was one of a kind!
My time with Randy spans nearly 40 years – few living souls knew him longer. My friendship and Randy’s employment at Hampel Corp started with a phone call from his then new wife Jane, when she inquired of me if I might be able to put him to work for a while as farming was rough back then. I knew Jane before she married Randy as she had performed my wedding ceremony and was also a dear friend of my Mother. My answer was: “If he’s good enough for you Jane, send him in tomorrow ready to work – no interview required” He started at the bottom and through the ensuing many years wore many hats, often several at a time always going far beyond what was required and always learning.
Despite the nearly 20 years difference in our ages we became close friends, traveling companions and business associates. Outside of Hample Corp Randy helped me numerous times with back breaking effort building and maintaining Redstone, a vacation home in Land O Lakes Wisconsin. Every summer Randy and his growing family would come up to Redstone where we would spend a week trying to bounce his kids, and my grand-kids, off the tube behind the big red boat at 40 MPH. We’ll miss his roaring laughter as he watched Matt and Andrew being launched 10 feet in the air – them were the good old days!
After learning of Randy’s diagnosis, I struggled many hours trying to find the fairness or justification of Randy’s fate - that’s what engineers do. Why Randy when there are so many more worthless bums or evil souls that the world would be better off without?
Perhaps I figured it out: As much as Randy’s earthbound grandchildren loved and needed him as a grandpa; All of the little orphaned kids that passed before Randy, need a steady, forgiving, playful grandpa up there.
Despite Amy, Andrew and Matt needing a guiding, loving helpful father; Far less fortunate souls up there need him more.
All of Randy’s earthbound friends, regardless how close, who relied on him for companionship and help; There must be others up there that need him more.
All of Randy’s Hampel coworkers, and Hampel Corp, that relied on and needed his guidance, accuracy and persistence; The almighty decided he needed Randy more - to keep thing in order up there.
And lastly, the Almighty decided that all of the deceased Packers greats needed a uncompromising fan more than the present prima donnas on the field.
Randall P! – as you were known: you’ll be missed, and not forgotten – see you later!

My condolences to the entire Haass family. I spent 29 years working with and for Randy and he will be greatly missed. Hopefully Randy can put in a good word for the Packers.

Amy and Shawn my prayers are with you and your family. I am so sorry to hear. Thinking of you both.
I will really try to be at funeral Friday.

I worked with Randy for 23 years at Hampel and enjoyed his good nature and ability to see the good in everyone. Rest in peace with the angels big guy!

I always liked working with Randy....very smart and such a creative guy - along with a great sense of humor!
I remember making a bet with Randy on a Packers game and I had the Packers and the point spread. I won and I didn’t let Randy forget about it 😊
I umpired a few games with Randy. He was fun to work and easy going! Also saw him at our YTOA meetings. Randy will be missed.
May he RIP!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this most difficult time. May God comfort you and give you peace knowing that Randy is in His hands, happy and free from pain. We are here for you for whatever you may need. Love and Hugs, Bill and Mary
