Del's picture with his obituary says it all for me, as a seminary classmate of Del: the warmth of his smile reflecting the good natured gentle Christian Spirit which made him a special gift of God to everyone with whom he shared the path of life! When he became a member of the class if 1975 at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary most of the rest of us had been classmates for at last four years already. His sincere Christian qualities during our time together made him a treasured classmate. It's no surprise that the Lord used this gifted humble Christian to honor the Lord and bring the fragrance of Christ to every person and circumstance where he was. He is now with the Lord and the Lord is with us until we celebrate in God's Presence forever! Peace and comfort and joy in Jesus to all the members of Del's family.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Uncle Delmer will be missed so much! We will miss his jokes, chatting about politics, reminiscing on what it was like growing up with my dad, on the farm, and of course him sharing his faith with us and so many! Love you Uncle Del and we will see you in heaven!

Leo and Bonnie Borden left a message on March 3, 2021:

We are praying for the Lord to comfort the family with the promise of a reunion in heaven. Our parents have been blessed to have the Kannenbergs as neighbors these last years. It gave them such comfort to know there were always smiles to be had across the street.

May the Lord bless the family with the hope of salvation we find in Jesus and in His glorious resurrection. It was a privilege to serve in Cameroon for a while with Pastor Kannenberg and to receive his advice for carrying on the work there. He was a dedicated and faithful servant of His Lord.

Mike & Keri Friesenegger left a message on March 2, 2021:

Our deepest prayers and sympathies to your family. Pastor Kannenberg officiated at our wedding in 1995 and was our pastor for several years at Zion in Denver, CO. We know that life gets a bit harder when a person such as Pastor Kannenberg is not here with us. He has left us with so much that is good. Pastor Kannenberg was a kind servant of God. He was a dear minister to our family. He edified the people he spoke with and was a blessing to all. He has received his Crown of Life. "Well done good and faithful servant." Matt 25:23

Rev Daniel & Eunice Westendorf left a message on March 2, 2021:
