Richard E. Rosenmeier, age 88, of Beaver Dam, died Friday, April 3, 2026, in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.
There will be a memorial gathering at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Funeral services will follow beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Ed Cody officiating. Inurnment will be at St. Peter Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Richard Edwin Rosenmeier was born on December 7, 1937, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Edwin and Rosella (Schwister) Rosenmeier. He graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1956 and went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1960. On January 19, 1963, Richard was united in marriage with Joanne Lewis in Beaver Dam. He was employed by the City of Beaver Dam for 28 years in the Wastewater Treatment Department; he was a lifetime member of the Wisconsin Wastewater Operators Association. Richard was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Parish.
Survivors include his children, Mark Rosenmeier (Bobby Crowley) of Luling, LA, Deborah (Trent) Nehls of Watertown, and Bonnie (Tim) Zerbel of Oak Creek; seven grandchildren; Craig (Charlotte) Schwark of Juneau, Alyssa (Mike) Taylor of South Elgin, IL, Connor Rosenmeier of Watertown, Wiatt Rosenmeier of St. Paul, MN, Sydney (Andrew) Lindberg of Farmington, MN, Marissa (Austin) Zimmerman of Waukesha, and Jenna (Allen Krey) Zerbel of Waukesha; five great grandchildren, Joanne, Harrison, Lucas, Ada, and one to be born any day; his sister, Carol Braun of Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his brother, Jim Rosenmeier.
