Richard W. Haase, 92, of Juneau passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at UW Hospital in Madison.

Richard was born on November 13, 1933 in Columbus to Walter and Marie (Walsh) Haase. He was a graduate of Juneau High School. Richard served his country in the U.S. Army. He was married to Lorna Gennerman on May 4, 1957 in Clyman. Dick was a proud lifelong hog farmer. He drove school bus for many years and was a gravedigger for over 30 years with area cemeteries.

Dick was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Horicon. He served on the church council at Immaculate Conception for 10 years, the Dodgeland School Board for nine years, the Dodge County Board of Supervisors for six years, the Oak Grove Town Board for two years, and the Dodge County Pork Producers for four years. Dick was very proud of all his children and grandchildren. He always loved being a farmer and you always knew what side of the fence he was on.

Dick is survived by his wife Lorna of Juneau; children: Jeffrey (JoDee) Haase of Beaver Dam, Gregory Haase (special dogs: Abby and Kayla) of Juneau, and Susan (John) Koller of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren: Jenny (Ryan) Meyer, Megan Demers, Jill Evans, Sam Evans, Andrea (Joshua) Matson, Matthew (Hannah) Haase, and Katie (Tyler) Parson; great grandchildren: Sean, Olivia, Odin, Jack, Genevieve, Evan, Margot, Lucas, Andrew, Ella, Knox, Brynn, Ezra, and Ada; his in-laws: Morris Gennerman and Harriet Gennerman; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Michael in 2024; and his siblings.

A visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Horicon on Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at the church with Fr. Howard Haase officiating. Interment will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Juneau with military honors to be conducted by the Juneau American Legion Post #15.
