Rita M. Anderson, age 65, of Beaver Dam, died on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at St. Mary”s Hospital in Madison.

Family and friends may gather on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at St. Stephen”s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam, at 4:00 PM until the time of service. The Funeral Service for Rita will be held at the church at 6:00 PM with Rev. Mark Wendland officiating. Burial will be held on Monday, August 6, 2007 at 9:30 AM at Leipsic Cemetery, Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

The former Rita Mae Beilke was born on June 23, 1942 in Hartford, Wisconsin, to the late Raymond and Hilda (Hoepner) Beilke. She was a 1960 graduate of Hartford Union High School. On January 30, 1971, she was united in marriage to Richard Anderson at St. Peters Ev. Lutheran Church in Oak Grove. Rita was a bookkeeper at various businesses throughout her life and later was employed at Heim Cheese in Lowell for many years. Rita volunteered her time helping PAVE and with the Dodge County Family Court assisting victims and their families. Some of Rita”s pleasures in life were collectibles, antiques, Teddy Bears and reading a good book. She was a member of St. Stephen”s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Rita will sadly missed by her friends and family.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband of 36 years, Richard Anderson of Beaver Dam, two nephews, Kurt Beilke and Keith Beilke, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond on April 26, 1985, her mother, Hilda on December 7, 2001 and her brother, Ronald on November 30, 2005.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Rita Anderson”s name to St. Stephen”s Ev. Lutheran Church, 300 West Street, Beaver Dam, Wisconsin 53916 or to a charity of one”s choice.

Richard, Please accept my sincere condolences. I worked with Rita in the office at Herberger''s some years ago but I will always remember the wonderful Christmas poem she wrote and shared with all of us. It was based on "The Night Before Christmas" but was changed to reflect the hussle and bussle of the busy Christmas selling season at the store. It was so well written - she certainly had some writing talent! I''m sure that you will miss her tremendously. Remember, the Good Lord never gives us more hardships than we can bare.
