Rita Harris, age 70, of Beaver Dam, died on Friday, August 31, 2007, at her home, surrounded by her family and friends.

Private graveside services will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, Wisconsin.

The former Rita Yunk was born on August 22, 1937, to the late Erwin and Jenny (Kendziorski) Yunk, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Rita will be remembered for her love of fishing and cooking, often times, in combination. Even her work life was centered around the kitchen, having worked as a cook at a rehabilitation center. After living most of her life in the Milwaukee area, she moved to Beaver Dam.

Rita is survived by her brother, Walter (Irene) Yunk of Townsend, two sisters, Dorothy (Don) Scheel of Green Bay and Mary (Allen) Nelson of New Berlin. She is also survived by her special friend, Doris Winter of Beaver Dam, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Rita was preceded in death by her parents.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I have experienced the same thing more than once this year and know that it is not easy. You are in my thoughts.

To a wonderful women who will always be remembered by us as Grandma Rita. We will miss her deeply and always. Now she can join Charlie and Larry for fishing. We will always love you.

Rita was the best! We will carry you in our hearts forever. The many fond memories of our fishing trips, picnics, all the laughs, showing us how to take those bullheads off without getting stung, and you fillet one heck of a fish! We loved you for who you were and very thankful for the companionship that you gave my sister. We were blessed to have had you in our family for the past 22 years. You will be deeply missed.
