Robert J. Manke, 73, of Beaver Dam passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024.
Robert was born on March 14, 1951 in Beaver Dam to William and Elgene (Busse) Manke. He was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School. Bob served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated TC Upholstery in Fox Lake for many years. After retirement, he worked for Taxiway Industries in Lomira.
Bob was a proud veteran. He was a member of the Mayville American Legion Post 69 and lifetime member of the DAV Beaver Dam Chapter. Bob was proud to be able to take the Badger Honor Flight. Bob was a very social person and loved being around people especially his JJ’s family.
Bob is survived by his lifelong companion Bonnie Cooper of Beaver Dam; his children: Mike Manke and Pam Manke both of Beaver Dam; three grandchildren: Haylee Schwark, Jada Kaminski, and Richard “RJ” Manke; six siblings: Donald (Faith) Manke of Oakfield, Linda Manke of Beaver Dam, Jeffery (Brenda) Manke of Randolph, Debra Wittnebel of Beaver Dam, Patricia (Robert Cupery) Pahl of Randolph, and Jeanne (Steve) Malone of Gloster, Miss.; further survived by Bonnie’s family: Garrett, Trevor, Dillon; Jerry (Ann) Luebke and Kathy Luebke; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law Gerald Wittnebel; and Bonnie’s brother Michael Luebke.
A private memorial service will be held at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam and inurnment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI.
Memorials may be directed to the Badger Honor Flight.
