Robert R. Maertz, 71, of Beaver Dam passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2024 at his home.
Robert was born on October 8, 1952 the son of Richard J. and Jeanette M. (Heuer) Maertz in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
Bob was a graduate of Juneau High School. He had been employed at Apache Stainless Equipment Corp. for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking. Bob loved watching old movies, listening to the Oldies, especially Elvis and enjoyed History. He loved mowing his lawn on his John Deere tractor and snow blowing the entire neighborhood. Bob was affectionately known as “Crazy Grandpa” and will be deeply missed by his children and grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his daughters: Jaime Maertz of Beaver Dam and Kristin (John) Bartz of Horicon and his son Jeremy (Erin) Maertz of Beaver Dam; his grandchildren: Kaedon Teichmiller, Cody Bartz, Morgan Maertz and Tanner Maertz; his sister Patricia Schultz and his brother Michael (Laura) Maertz. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Jeanette Maertz and his sister Barbara Maertz.
A private family service will be held for Bob with Rev. Jim Wendt officiating. He will be laid to rest at Juneau City Cemetery.

I just found out about this. Quite a shock. I worked with Bob at Apache for a lot of years & we used to ride together when he had his Goldwing. Once I retired, I would occasionally stop at his house to visit when I would be passing by & see him sitting on his deck. I'm going to miss those chats. My sincerest condolences to the family.
