Rodney A. Neitzel, age 65, went to his eternal home on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at the UW Hospital in Madison.
The funeral service for Rodney will be on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at the Murray Funeral Home in Reeseville from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. The funeral service will follow on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Donald Steinberg officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Lowell, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
Rodney Albert Neitzel was born on June 25, 1943 to Clarence and Edith (Krueger) Neitzel. He lived in the Reeseville area all of his life until his health problems arose from his diabetes. Rodney lived at the Clearview Nursing and Rehab Center in Juneau for the past 20 years. All of the staff and residents at Clearview thought that he was such a polite man and often referred to him as “Rocky”. He enjoyed riding his bike to Piggly Wiggly, in Juneau, to do his grocery shopping and he also loved his rides to Beaver Dam to go clothes shopping.
Rodney is survived by his sister, Darlene Schmidt, of Beaver Dam, his niece, Kim (Bob) Mann, of Juneau, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
