Ronald E. Tillou

Ronald E. Tillou, age 79, formerly of Mayville, passed away at his home in Fond du Lac on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

In honoring the wishes of the family, a private family burial will take place. A gathering for family and friends at the American Legion Trier-Puddy Post #75 in Fond du Lac, is being planned for a later date. The date and time will be updated when able.

Ron was born the son of Byron and Ruby (Wilson) Tillou in Beloit, Wisconsin on May 19, 1944. He was a 1962 graduate of Oakfield High School. Ron served in the United States Armed Forces as a Marine Corps Sergeant for six years. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and received a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences in 1972.

Ron worked for many years as a tool and die maker at Mayville Engineering Company. He later retired from MEC in 1998. Before this, he worked as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Mayville. In more recent years he was employed with Hallcon as a driver.

Ron enjoyed spending his time fishing, listening to classical music, and watching the Green Bay Packers.

Ron is survived by his three children; nine grandchildren; and his sisters: Carol of Baraboo, Wisconsin and Lynn of Tennessee.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, brother Dennis, and sisters Virginia and Patricia.
