Rosella Mae Jarogoske

Rosella “Rose” M. Jarogoske, age 89, died on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

The visitation for Rose will be on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 127 W. Maple Ave., in Beaver Dam from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Tuesday at the church at 11:00 AM with Fr. Jose Gonzalez officiating. Private burial will be at St. Patrick”s Cemetery, Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

The former Rosella Mae Lockwood was born on November 19, 1919 in Otsego, Wisconsin to Fredrick and Harriet (Pawson) Lockwood. She was united in marriage with Joseph “Bud” Jarogoske on January 31, 1942. Together, they owned and operated Cozy Corner Restaurant in Beaver Dam for 35 years. Rose then worked at Edith”s Cakes and Catering in Beaver Dam for several years. She enjoyed bowling and golfing and was very active with the Senior Citizen Center. Rose especially loved her time spent with her special nieces, Kim, Kay and Karen. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Beaver Dam.

Mrs. Jarogoske is survived by her daughter, Susan (James) Perkins, daughter-in-law, Judy Jarogoske, six grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, brother, Eugene Lockwood, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bud, son Rick, daughter Sharyn Rahn, three brothers, and two sisters.

Grandma, I still cant belive I wont be able to talk to you.My heart is filled filled sorrow that I cant explain I have never felt this way before.All you every wanted was to see us kids happy.And you did a wonderful job at that.You were able to do something that I never thought could be done,you brought mom and me togther and Im shure you know now how much this means to me and mom both!!Grandma I will miss you and all of our times we had togther.Mom N Dad I love you both so much without you two I wouldent be this strong right now. love alwasye and forever Kellie

Rosie will be missed by many because she touched so many people''s lives. Thank God I was one of those people touched by our Rosie! I will never forget the smile on her face when we got her to the front row of the Dodge County fair to see her favorite country music star. I couldn''t watch the show cause I was near tears watching my friend having the time of her life! I might add Trish from the Murray Funeral Home helped me make this all possible after hearing the story of Rosie''s love for this country star.
