Russell A. Zieske

Russell A. Zieske, 74, of Beaver Dam passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Randolph Health Services.

Russell was born on July 28, 1951 in Beaver Dam to Arnold and Florence (Ellis) Zieske. He was a Beaver Dam High School graduate and afterwards received his bachelor’s degree from UW-Whitewater. Russ was married to Sandra Kohlman on May 29, 1976 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Mayville. He was employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Beaver Dam for 28 years until his retirement.

Russ was a member of Harvest Ev. Free Church in Beaver Dam where he enjoyed singing in church. He was an avid Brewer and Packers fan. Russ enjoyed line dancing and attending music festivals. Russ enjoyed his time camping with his wife Sandi.

Russ is survived by his wife of 49 years Sandi of Beaver Dam; his sons: Brian Zieske of Wausau and Brandon (Carissa) Zieske of Austin, TX; seven grandchildren: Evan, Riley, Noah, Cora, Ashlynn, Brayden, and Adalyn; his brother Les (Louise) Zieske; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother James; and sisters: Judy Christian and Gerry Voigt.

A memorial gathering will be held at Harvest Ev. Free Church in Beaver Dam on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:30 a.m.
