Ryan Andrew Bong, age 39 of West Bend, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday October 8th, 2024 at his home.
Ryan was born the son of the late Donald “Donny” and Kristine (Wehner) Bong on December 13th, 1984. He was a 2003 graduate of West Bend West High School. Ryan was employed as a semi truck driver for Kapco Metal Stamping in Grafton. In his spare time, Ryan loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, camping, and trips up north with his friends. He also liked motorcycles, guns, and was a king when it came to cooking on the grill. Family was important to Ryan and he cherished the time spent with them, especially his nephew Oliver.
Ryan is survived by his mother Kristine Bong of Jackson. His brother Neal (Melissa Perkins) Bong of Mayville, and his nephew Oliver Bong. He is further survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, and many great friends.
Ryan was preceded in death by his father Donald “Donny” Bong, grandfathers Donald Wehner and Donald Bong, grandmothers Dolores (Schilz) Wehner and Betty (Hansen) Bong, aunt Kathy Euper, uncle Dale Wehner, his cousin Devon Davis and uncle Steve Bong.
A memorial service for Ryan will take place on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 at Christian Life Fellowship 113 N Clark Street Mayville, WI 53050 with Pastor Matt Lewandowski officiating.
A visitation will be held from 12 p.m.- 1 p.m. at the church with a service to follow.

Losing someone is hard no matter what, but when it's someone his age I feel it's even harder. I have some great memories from high school when I dated Ryan. Cruising in the mustang, hanging at the lahr house with Mike and Bill and Josh. Even the night I got caught sneaking back into the house at 5am after cruising around is a favorite memory I talk about often. Ryan had such a kind heart, a mischievous grin and a unique laugh. I wish I never would have lost contact with him a few years back. I find comfort knowing he is with his dad and probably fishing. My condolences to all friends and family. Rest easy bonger!!
